In Transit

The unfamiliar is what makes travel such a life source of inspiration for me. The best advice I received on travel was to leave home at home, and not to make comparisons. When I’m in transit I’m at my most observant and alive.

    The Stahl House

Photographs of this place by Julius Shulman in the 60's was what made me fall in love with the modern era. This family home, The Stahl House, designed by Pierre Koenig has undoubtedly the best of views of LA. It is a case study house of the mid century era and has a beautiful story behind it. The Stahl family stayed determined to purchase the rocky hillside block and embark on a project that was ambitious at the time. It's an iconic home, a rare preservation project by the family. It was like walking on holy ground and steeping back in time. Los Angeles, Hollywood Hills, 2015

    Desert Highway

The road through Joshua Tree National Park, California. This place has a serene magic to it where the sun sets the sky in pastels and the iconic Joshua trees come to life. I still hold that this is most peaceful place on the planet. 2015

    Lake Louise

Even though I live days journey away from here it somehow feels like home. Lucky to have seen Lake Louise a handful of times, I find it an iconic scene of the Candian Rockies.

    Bras d'Or Lake

Pastel night on the Bras d'Or Lake, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Canada. Rickety and worn as it was, this jetty was our meeting and sunset view point most nights during our week long Lakehouse stay in scenic Atlantic Canada, summer 2018.
